On our page description of colours we have described the colours cinnamon and fawn for adults cats. In general it is not that complicated to see to difference in colours for this group of cats, but you can also find variances: Sometimes dark coloured Chocolatepoints look very much like light coloured Sealpoints or the other way round.
In opposite the colour Cinnamon-Point is much more unique. There is no chance to mix up with Seal-, Blue- Chocolate- or Lilac-Point.Cinnamon-Point looks much lighter and "warmer" than Seal- or Chocolate-Point and is totally different to Lilac- or Blue-Point. What has to be pointed out: Cinnamon is not a light colour. There is a clear contrast between points and body.
The high share of Rufism makes the colour Cinnamon-Point unique and shows the limit to all other colours. This is one property that is e.g. not the same as for Chocolate-Point.
Cinnamon can not be mixed up with Red although some people who didn't know warned about this when starting with breeding the new colours. It is not possible to confuse it in any case.
Not possible as well is to mix up Fawn-Point with Blue- or Cream-Point. The only colour to look a lit bit alike Fawn is Lilac. When comparing both colours the difference can be found very clear as well. Fawn-Point has a totally different "background-colour" which is "warmer" and lighter compared to Lilac. Nevertheless it also can be found a clear contrast between points and body.
How to be able to make out details when having kitten ? It is not needed to compare Cinnamon- and Fawn-Point with Seal- and Blue-Point. Even not experienced people can find the difference immmediately. Seal- and Blue-Point kitten have a different coloured body and the ears are already getting a clear colour with two days of age whereas seal is always much darker than blue. Also the nose leather for Seal- and Blue-Points is colouring much faster and more intensive compared to Cinnamon- and Fawn-Points.
Mixed Litter with Hybrid Cats in Seal-, Cinnamon- and Fawn-Point.

First photo: Seal-Point Kittens: The dark colour for the ears (points) and the body shaded in grey can be seen very well.
The second photo shows one Seal-Point Kitten, two Cinnamon-Point Kittens and one Kitten in Fawn-Point.
The Kittens on this photos are nearly 3 weeks old.
In the case of not being sure the best way is to wait some more time and have a lot of patience: Every additional day completes the development of a kitten and helps finding the correct colour of the cat.
